Overview
DocuSnap is a document scanning and organization application developed by ByteVerse. This policy explains how information is handled when you use the app.
Your documents and OCR text
Scanned pages, imported images, generated PDFs, OCR text, folders and document metadata are stored locally on your device. DocuSnap does not use a ByteVerse server to upload or store the contents of your documents.
Document scanning and OCR
DocuSnap uses Google document scanning and text recognition technology for supported scanning and OCR features. These features may rely on Google Play services or on-device components supplied by Google.
Files and photos
When you choose to import an image or save an exported document, Android's system file and media interfaces may be used. DocuSnap accesses only the content you choose for the requested operation.
App preferences
Settings such as appearance, PDF quality and default scan filter are stored locally on your device so your choices are remembered.
Advertising, analytics and diagnostics
DocuSnap uses Google Mobile Ads and Google's User Messaging Platform for advertising and privacy consent. DocuSnap also uses Firebase Analytics and Firebase Crashlytics for product analytics, diagnostics, stability monitoring and crash reporting. These services may process device information, advertising identifiers, app interactions, diagnostics and similar technical data according to their own privacy policies. Document images and OCR text are not intentionally sent to advertising or analytics services as event content.
Consent
Where required, DocuSnap may ask for consent before using personalized advertising or related advertising technologies. Available consent choices are handled through the applicable consent system.
Data retention
Documents stored by DocuSnap remain on your device until you delete them. Items placed in Trash remain available for restoration until they are permanently deleted or removed by an applicable cleanup feature. Data handled by third-party services is subject to those providers' retention practices.
Security
DocuSnap is designed to keep document processing local where practical. No mobile application or storage system can guarantee absolute security, so you should protect access to your device and backups.
Changes to this policy
This privacy policy may be updated when DocuSnap's features or third-party services change. The latest published version will show its effective date.
